Sabrina is a Haitian Canadian entrepreneur and executive producer, who graduated from the Institute of National Image and Sound in Interactive Media.  She has an expansive career that has led her to work in various industries as a consultant, producer, and project manager.  Sabrina has been able to bring her unique talents to sought-after sectors which include: corporate, education, entertainment, marketing, and media. Her skills and accomplishments have also led her to be recently elected to be part of the BC Producer’s Branch Council (CMPA).

 

Her creativity, vision, and innovative storytelling are supported by a passionate commitment to the evolution of the human race. She focuses on projects that drive positive social impact, leveraging storytelling as a powerful tool to transform human consciousness. Sabrina’s companies focus on the social conversations that matter – race, class, sexuality and gender – and the use of educational technology tools to reach broad, diverse, multigenerational audiences.

 

She is working on her first international film, Hood Island, a romantic comedy feature written by Jon Cooksey. She also has two web series in production: Scarberia and Incubator le labo en folie (French). In addition, she is developing a kid-animations series: The adventure of Little Oprah.

As the Director of Customer Experience & Manager of Operations at Stageplot Institute, Atalya is focused on directing actions, improving efficiency across several departments, and is committed to excellence in customer service.


Atalya has operated teams for more than five years in management with a reputable international hotel corporation. She led multiple departments at a time to inspire and develop the individuals on her teams.


Atalya’s commitment to clear communication, impeccable results, curating an extraordinary experience and improving the livelihood of every human-being is her true self-expression and is evident in her results.

Sabrina is a storyteller on a mission to produce, share & monetize socially relevant, diverse stories in new media forms. In 2017, she officially founded Wojack Productions Inc.

With ten years of experience as an entrepreneur, Trinidad Rivas has acted as an educational consultant for internationally renowned companies such as Lasalle College International, MAKE UP FOR EVER, Sephora and LVMH; Trinidad developed the educational strategy internally and ensured consistency with external partners. 

As director of the MAKE UP FOR EVER New York Academy, his team has been recognized for their determination and passion for serving excellence to support visual art professionals in 2018.

 Dynamic and insightful, his strength is to offer training adapted to target groups and to coach experts in the visual arts industry.

Zainab Muse is an award-winning entrepreneur, author and filmmaker. She is the founder & CEO of Wingd Inc. and Creatorland. She has produced and directed projects for CBC and Bell Canada. As a filmmaker, she is on a mission to create and produce stories that advance and amplify the narratives of unheard voices and underserved people. Her list of producing and directing credits includes scripted and non-scripted content in feature-length and series formats, several music videos and short films, along with a co-hosting credit on a film and philosophy podcast. She credits her love for filmmaking to directors she admires like Julie Dash.

Colin Beadle is an internationally recognized animator turned HR professional. He is currently the HR Director for Atomic Cartoons, which he joined four years ago. Atomic is the kids and family division of Thunderbird Entertainment Group, a global entertainment company that produces scripted, factual, and animated content for the world’s leading platforms.

His passion for this work has given him opportunities to work at major studios like Disney Interactive, Titmouse Inc. and Lucasfilm Animation.

Born in South Africa he established Stefilm in Torino, Italy in 1991. Where he develops, produces and/or directs drama and documentary film features and series. His recent productions are: Rispet (feature length fiction film by Cecilia Bozza Wolf – in post-production). When We Were Bullies by Jay Rosenblatt (short, Sundance 2021)

First Look Media was founded by Trevor Hodgson, who, over the past 22 years, has executive produced, produced, and provided business affairs on more than 75 non-scripted and 10 scripted projects. Recently he produced a true crime series for CBC and executive produced the series Rust Valley Restorers for History Television.

For over thirteen years Trevor was an executive producer, producer and VP Business Affairs at Paperny Entertainment, where he produced top-rated series such as Eat St. (Food Network), Yukon Gold (History Television) Timber Kings (HGTV), Cold Water Cowboys (Discovery), and Chopped Canada (Food Network), as well as the multi award-winning feature documentaries Love Shines (TMN/CTV) and Confessions of an Innocent Man (CTV/NFB), among many others.

He is currently serving as a board member of the CMPA’s BC branch council and the Crazy8s filmmaking competition.

I am a licensed Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) who specializes in providing accounting and taxation services for professionals in the film & entertainment industry. The story of how I got involved working in the industry wasn’t planned. And it starts like the plot of any good movie— involving international flights and a chance encounter between strangers. The plot unfolded and now, I’ve been working with production companies over the past several years providing not only accounting and tax services but also growth strategies.

Lanette is a series regular on The Wedding Planners, a Lifetime Member of the Actors Studio, NY/LA, born and raised on the Upper East Side of New York City and hired for her first commercial at age three. Upon graduating with a BA in Drama, she launched her acting career which resulted in a variety of co-star, starring, guest star and featured roles in television theater and film.

Lanette is Executive Producer in pre-production on an original YA drama she’s created for the small screen and a multicultural animated series she’s developing for the preschool market. Both series are represented by Integral Artists.

David Brady is a well-respected, Golden Globe Nominated and international award-winning writer, producer and director of over 130 episodes of primetime scripted dramas, comedies, and 30-hours of documentary and docu-drama series and 4 feature films in both Canada and the United States for such studios as United Artists, Disney, Zoetrope Studios and SC Entertainment.  He also has co-produced series with the UK, France, Israel, and Australia.  David was nominated at the Banff International Television Festival for the Best Writer/Producer for his Family Series, Around The World with Tippi that aired on the Discovery Channels worldwide.

Abubakar Khan is the CEO of  Diaspora Creative, a production company based in Vancouver, Canada. Since 2016, through Diaspora Creative, Abubakar and his team have excelled in creating strong story-based content focused on people of colour/minorities‍. Khan is currently the vice-chair of the Canadian Media Producers Association B.C.Branch Council and has sat on multiple film festival boards across North America. He has produced 10 short films. He is a recent graduate of the Canadian Film Centre Norman Jewison producers’ Lab. He is producing an episodic documentary series, “Lions Rise”, a drama series “The Future Lives Here”, alongside two feature films.

Stephanie Herrera is a multi-awarding winning Actor/Writer, who is an active member of ACTRA Toronto and the Writers Guild of Canada. Her experience on stage and screen made her the perfect candidate to head the Entertainment division at McCam Insurance Brokers. Her passion is teaching up-and-coming filmmakers the ABC’s of production and distribution insurance and she is active speaking on panels and at film schools across Canada.

Kevin Mosley grew up in Merritt, British Columbia where at an early age, began writing and directing his own short films. After attending Simon Fraser University in the film and theatre program, Kevin began working as a set decorator and art director on independent features and music videos. But it was screenwriting that was Kevin’s passion and he began to pursue a

professional career. His first feature film ‘Savage Island’ (2004), produced and directed by Jeffery Lando (‘Decoys 2’, ‘House of Bones’, ‘Haunted High’) went on to win seven awards, including four best picture awards at film festivals across the U.S. and Europe. It was then acquired by Shoreline Entertainment for U.S. and International distribution and established Kevin as an “up and coming new talent in the horror genre.” Fangoria Magazine.
